The inside of the top cover has a slot containing three design cards; a "Day", a "Classic", and a "Fashion". Each of these cards provides simple instructions on how to achieve the pictured eye makeup. The eyeshadows themselves are wonderful. The palette contains three 2g eyeshadows and six .9g eyeshadows. The palette is also divided into three rows that follow the same categories that are demonstrated on the cards. The shadows (by row) are Day: Heaven, a matte ivory; Velvet Revolver a matte taupe; and Sexpresso, a matte chocolate brown. In Classic: Silk Teddy, a satin peach; Push-Up, a soft burgundy with a satin finish; and Erotica, a deep brown with gold shimmer. In Fashion: Nude Beach, a ballet pink with small gold and silver glitter; Honey Pot, a vivid gold with a satin finish; and Cocoa Puff, a rich cocoa color with golden shimmer. The colors Heaven, Silk Teddy and Nude Beach are the larger of the nine shadows. Each of the eyeshadows has a velvety texture and high pigmentation.
Beneath the shadows is a small drawer indicated with another ribbon tab. Inside is a convenient slot for the brush. The brush is double-ended, with a white sponge-tip applicator on one end and a soft, angled eyeliner brush on the other. Generally, I use my fingers for application of a general color with my own fluffy blending brush for the crease and the angled brush for the 'eyeliner'. Although the cards are very useful, my suggestion is to experiment on your own a little. This palette can create a brown smokey eye or a fancy evening look. All of the colors work with each other for optimal usage. My personal favorite look is to use Silk Teddy lightly all over the lid, Honey Pot on the inner corner, Heaven under the eyebrow and Sexpresso lined close to the lashes on the upper lid and partially on the outer end of the lower lash line. I salute Jerrod Blandino, as he has created one of the most versatile and delicate palettes I have seen.
